Despite UPS Canada's best efforts, I received an exciting package today!

A virtual birthday party/wedding shower!

Thanks to everyone who contributed gifts! It was a great surprise, and I really appreciate your kind thoughts and generosity!

something our family has wanted to do for some time,
and he and I can't wait to get started on all the
recipes from home!

Plus the bows made a lovely wedding shower
bouquet! (Sorry, but no promises on bringing
it south for the rehearsal.)

Once again, thank you all for your kind words and gifts! It really means a lot to me to have this reminder of family and loved ones back in California. And Emily and Ariel (and Mom?), the virtual shower was a great idea - thank you!
