For Your Oscar Consideration

It's a bit late, but here's the long-awaited Halloween movie. Hopefully I didn't get your hopes up too much - remember, I am my own production studio, and these things take time when you're chugging along at 10 frames per second. So without further ado, sit back and enjoy tonight's feature presentation of THE END.

(NOTE: The first 7 seconds of the movie are entirely silent, so don't go cranking your speakers up just yet.)

Oh and please keep your cowbell comments to yourself.

  1. OMG! It is amazing! I love the hand! I'm a little confused as to the story line (is it in order or are you skipping arround?). And those are amazing drawings for being done in Shaprie. Way to go!

  2. Em - Thanks! The movie is entirely in order, but I have a pretty good guess as to what the confusing parts are. I admit some of the plot points were somewhat poorly/subtly drawn, so just watch it a few more times or something.

  3. That's so cool! I too love the hand. And were we supposed to be some of the trick-or-treaters? I also love the music, and the fact that the reaper's name is steve.

    I got a fever...

  4. One more thing - how do you do these? You aren't redrawing the pictures each time (except for the hand)... Do you have cut-outs that you move across the page?

  5. Ariel - You and Em were trick-or-treaters in that the majority of the kids in the background are wearing former costumes of yours (I thought the twin pumpkins in the distance might be a dead giveaway). As for the drawings, parts of each image were redrawn for every frame. I obviously tried to cut down on this as much as possible, as that took a lot of work. Every drawing was processed in Photoshop, which was also where I moved some of the cutouts around as necessary.
