It's upon us.
That's what our front yard looked like yesterday morning. The night before, we'd acquired a light dusting of snow ourselves as we walked back from watching the Leafs game at the bar. I don't care what the Canadians say - this whole thing with frozen water falling from the sky is weird. Unnatural, even.
Live from Vancouver!
Greetings from Vancouver! The Canadian one! (I'm quickly realizing that one has to be careful with web searches involving "Vancouver" - there's another one in Washington and it's a bit of a drive.)
Speaking of drives, Channing and I made the obligatory Roadtrip up the California/Oregon/Washington coasts to get here, so here goes:
Channing came down for a weekend at Rennsport (a Porsche event) at Laguna Seca. Naturally, we had to take a photo with the Cayman Island sign.
We left home Sunday and spent the night at Channing's dad's place south of San Francisco. Monday morning, this was the view out the windshield:
Later that day, we stopped for a quick bit of wine tasting and got a couple of bottles at Navarro Winery for our friend Joe in Portland:
We then (apparently) entered warp speed:
At Fort Bragg, we watched the Toronto Maple Leafs game (of course), then swung by Glass Beach before it got too dark.
We spent Monday night in Eureka, then traveled to Portland and stayed with Joe Tuesday night. Apparently I lost interest in taking pictures for a day, so you'll have to imagine it.
Wednesday evening:
Dun-dun-dun...
But then:
Hooray! And they all lived happily ever after. The end.

New Driver's License Photo!
Yeah, which one would YOU want to get saddled with for the next 10 years?
And here I thought decent ID mugshots were impossible. This will do just fine. See you again when I'm 35, DMV!
