A Fortmonthly Update

Things have been going well here on the island. We just finished a huge two month rush from the spring break crowd, and are enjoying a brief lull before summer vacation starts at the beginning of May (which seems awfully early in my mind, but maybe that's just me). Now that I have a few days off, I can finally start taking care of all those fun errands that have stacked up while I've been at work. The car is at the mechanic as I write this.

Things are moving and shaking at work, too. At the end of the month, the owner of the Winchester-Swann company (worldwide, not just our little outpost) is going to be signing an agreement with CAOS's parent company to start opening up CAOS programs at all Winchester-Swanns. ALL of them. Apparently their little experiment test-driving our CAOS program was successful. This means great things for those looking to use me as an excuse to travel. Since I have experience with our CAOS program here in Arrecife, chances are very good that I'll start seeing further opportunities as other locations open up. China, Spain, and Hawaii are opening in the next month, for example, and more are on the way.

I'm sure my stateside informants have already passed on word that I've been dating a guy on the island for almost a year now. His name is Channing, he's from Canadia (I know! After years of Canada jokes! ...doesn't mean the jokes have stopped, though), he's a doorman at the Winchester-Swann, and he's a part-time magician. I've been learning all sorts of things from him, like what this hockey thing is all aboot, how various magic tricks are done (I can't do them myself though), how to properly spell color colour, and how they apparently don't have packs of wild polar bears roaming the snow-laden streets of Toronto. News to me.

Oh and have fun filing your taxes this weekend, everyone. I knew there was a reason I moved down here...
